The Ceylon Coir Fibre Exporter's Association

The Ceylon Coir Fibre Exporters’ Association (CCFEA) is one of the oldest trade associations in Sri Lanka. Those who possess baling capacity have got together and formed this association in early nineteen sixties. Today, all leading exporters namely Hayleys Exports Ltd., Volanka Exports Ltd., Jafferjee Brothers, Canro Fibre Exports (Pvt) Ltd., Wilfred & Company Ltd., Mackwoods Ltd., Samarasinghe Brothers and Chas P Hayley & Company are members of this Association. The Association is proud to announce that the members are accountable for 80% of the total coir fibre exports from Sri Lanka.

 

Our Objectives

 

* To propose to the Sri Lankan Government and other governmental authorities any desirable amendments or withdrawal of any existing laws or regulations, introduction of new legislation, policy reform and other measures affecting Coir Fibre Industry.

* To have representation on Associations, Committees, Boards and any Bodies whose activities affect Coir Fibre and Coir Fibre Industry

* To support scientific research and extension and the application of scientific knowledge in Coir Fibre Industry

* To develop enforcement and monitoring of standards for the Industry
